In the move towards learner-centred and technology-rich learning environment, the school has deployed various teaching approaches to bring about engaged and authentic learning. With the collaborative effort of the teachers and their Head of Department, the Design & Technology (D&T) department has integrated asynchronous discussion in the D&T curriculum for secondary 3 pupils. The research of this study is presented in three parts: The first part provides the big picture of the D&T teaching and learning environment in Marsiling secondary. It includes the teacher preparation and key processes necessary for the teaching in the learner-centred and technology-rich learning environment. The second part presents the students' learning in the technology integrated classroom learning environment. We focus on how pupils solve problems and whether they are able to draw on each other's ideas to expand their strategies as well as their decision making processes. The third part presents the teachers' reflection on the key processes involved in facilitating the students' learning in technology-rich learning environment.
